In order to obtain a work permit for an employee posted to Poland, that person's remuneration must be at least 70% of the current average monthly remuneration in the given province on the date of the application’s submission.
The Ministry of Family and Social Policy has presented a draft regulation on the amount of minimum wage and minimum hourly rate in 2024 (draft number: RD 585).
Once again, two increases in the minimum wage and minimum hourly rate have been proposed:
- from 1 January 2024 the minimum wage will be PLN 4,242 gross, and the minimum hourly rate will be PLN 27.70 gross,
- from 1 July 2024 the minimum wage will be set at PLN 4,300 gross and the minimum hourly rate at PLN 28.10 gross.
The Council of Ministers adopted a decree on the minimum wage and minimum hourly rate in 2023.
As of January 1, 2023, the minimum wage will increase to PLN 3,490 gross, and as of July 1 next year to PLN 3,600 gross.
At the same time, the minimum hourly wage in 2023 will increase to PLN 22.80 gross from January 1 and to PLN 23.50 gross from July 1, respectively.
On 28 July 2022, a draft Regulation of the Council of Ministers on the amount of minimum wage and minimum hourly rate in 2023 was published on the Government Legislation Centre website (draft number: RD 585).
The Government proposed two increases in the minimum wage and minimum hourly rate.
